Like that NRA woman who infiltrated the anti-gun groups, I feel betrayed and so should you. I know we have no set rules on these things but at least we can shame them into submission!

First Outing:

So you are saying it is not "Better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all"?dodgersteve182 wrote:I think we need a special thread to "Out" short term bulletin board posters who use our expert advice and then just disappear completely out of sight!

So if you don't mind the opinion from someone who is still trying to get acclumated and who still feels I haven't come close to paying the dues but is gathering the wealth of the situation, I expect there will be a long series of one-night-stands, so don't feel scorned, you have to break some eggs to make an omlett, a rolling stone gathers no moss, don't count your chickens before they hatch, and remember living well is the best revenge.
Mr. Jay, I can tell you why the squirrel thing started. One day I was explaining why I didn't like squirrels and I thought most of them were evil. Some people agreed with me, and some people stuck up for squirrels. A few people (and I won't name names) were jokey guys and liked to tease me about them. It's okay. I like them anyway. I like everybody. That's the kind of girl I am.frogman042 wrote:
BTW, I still do sort of feel like a gate crasher and without knowing the full history of the bored, I don't really get all the inside jokes and running gags (is there a back story to the whole squirrel business
This is like peeling layers of an onion. If it requires talking dogs to explain the evil squirrels, who's going to explain the talking dogs?AnnieCamaro wrote:Mr. Jay, I can tell you why the squirrel thing started. Why do I need explaining? I'm just Annie.TheConfessor wrote:

Yeah, but once they find out that Larry Craig and Fernando Tatis are members they run for the hills, screaming.kayrharris wrote:Whenever auditions are taking place and calls are being made, we're going to have that "flurry" of new people showing up.
Most of the people here do a great job of making them feel welcome and offering help of any kind. There are all kinds of personalities out there.
There are a large number here who have been together for 9 years - or close to it. We do have a lot of "inside stuff" that would be hard to understand.
It's easier for some personalities to stick around than others. I don't think any less of those that don't feel like hanging around. They came here because they were interested in getting on WWTBAM, not be part of a social group that includes talking dogs, cats, and squirrels...NTTAWWT.
Speaking of which, the urinal in the Men's room that we had access to when doing our time in the green room has to be the one of the highest off the ground on record. I'm of average hight (a little taller then 5' 10") and I felt I almost needed to be on tippy-toes to use it.ulysses5019 wrote:Yeah, but once they find out that Larry Craig and Fernando Tatis are members they run for the hills, screaming.kayrharris wrote:Whenever auditions are taking place and calls are being made, we're going to have that "flurry" of new people showing up.

---Jay (If you know how old Marcel Duchamp was when he was looking at Alexander Calder's sculptors and suggested the he should call them mobiles, then you will know how many more days my show is scheduled to air - and if you don't know why I thought of Marcel Duchamp when responding to this message, then take some time to think it over at the nearest water fountain)

I've been around for years and can't recall a single Kevin Nealon reference. What have I missed?frogman042 wrote:whats the deal with the references to Kevin Nealon
It must have happened just the week before you logged on.Estonut wrote:I've been around for years and can't recall a single Kevin Nealon reference. What have I missed?frogman042 wrote:whats the deal with the references to Kevin Nealon
Except that Frogman's seen them in the few months he's been here.ulysses5019 wrote:It must have happened just the week before you logged on.
okay so I had a "brain dead" moment this morning and found the same posts afterwards. Actually, I just came to this Bored to offer to babysit Annie while her mom went to a Jeopardy audition. Annie was so typically mean to me after making my kind request, that I decided to stick around and torment her. That's just the kind of boy I am....
Actually 90% are your MMs.littlebeast13 wrote:The BB Directory is full of people who have showed up for a brief period of time, usually for an audition or show appearance, and are never seen again. I'd bet about 90% of the people who have darkened our door in this Bored's history never stuck around for even a month.....
It's the 10% of those who HAVE stayed and become regulars or semi-regulars that are special anyway.... and thankfully, Puzzled Julie is in this group and not the other group.....
