We just bought a new computer, but I am not going to start disassembling the old one until I read the instructions.

I forget if you're a Mac or PC household.
If it's running Windows of any flavor, you'll want to use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Wow...I want to see how your system works. You really make a physical attachment between your comm devices and your hard drive? But I think you mean that it's a widescreen that rotates its alignment from landscape to portrait mode. Just like "disassemble" meant "unplug the cables".
