Since the US is already out of Afghanistan, I don't think there will be any more of that.
There will be more disastrous and dangerous decisions like that. You want the same stupidity to continue?

As I've said countless times, I don't limit myself to the mainstream media, and I know from firsthand experience that they are not interested in the truth, but the narrative that they are promoting. I also pay attention to the media that the mainstream media disparages. And I weigh for myself what view makes more sense, and I verify what I can. Communism and Socialism have been proven to be evil by their history. It is estimated that 100 million people have died in the name of communism. And yet communism and socialism have been whitewashed by years of indoctrination by our state controlled education system. Harris is the personification of that and is another puppet of the centralized power in Washington DC. That is the evil that is actually threatening our REPUBLIC.What constitutes evil in your consideration?

The very same thing could be said about the Republican Party. Do you think Eisenhower (Yes), Goldwater (Oh Yeah!), Dole (Yes), Rockefeller (Yes), Bush (No), McCain (Hell no!), or even Reagan (Absolutely!) would be welcome in today's GOP?
Did you read the article? The information came from Kennedy campaign officials. Hardly fake news. Communism and socialism are economic terms, not political ones. As for the "evils of socialism", how is it that "socialist" countries in Europe are doing so well. And you may not be aware of it, but the early Christian church practiced a form of communism - believers gave all they had to the church and it was distributed to those on the basis of need.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 8:19 amCommunism and Socialism have been proven to be evil by their history. You are obviously channelling the SSS school of thought. I quote from 'right wing sources' because you apparently don't ever hear that perspective. And I try to quote from the most 'main stream' source I can get, if they even stoop to cover the issue. Do you think any of the media conglomerate is going to have a story interviewing people who have fled oppressive dictatorships warning that they see it happening here? Do you think they are making it up because of who is interviewing them? Do you do any independent investigating to try and validate anything they say? I try to. So all these Republicans - American patriots all - would be willing to pledge loyalty to Donald Trump. Because as far as I can see, that is really the only requirement for being considered a true Republican anymore. Traditional values, beliefs, and policy are not worth a bucket of spit if you don't back him. Just ask Liz Cheney whose conservative credentials were impeccable until she became persona non gratis for daring to call him out.BackInTex wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 10:58 amkroxquo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 10:52 am"VP Harris’s Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my father and uncle and I cannot reconcile it with my values." - Robert Kennedy, Jr.

So what matters is how they are administered. As I said, Western European countries are "socialist" and doing just fine.
It seems like there are a lot of people who were considered staunch defenders of Republican values and policy who are not welcome anymore - Dick and Liz Cheney, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, Nikki Haley, John McCain, Mike Pence, Chris Christie, Adam Kinzinger. The list goes on and on. They all were/are conservative in their views and all have one thing in common - refusal to support Trump. Seriously, do you guys ever really hear the crap you repeat? I hate to burst your fragile bubble, krox, but there actually isn't any "pledge of loyalty." It's real impressive how y'all on the left get to be the arbiter of who we on the right should support. The people of Wyoming decided Cheney did not represent their majority the way they wanted. Can you or Flock give me one example of any public official who is anti-swamp and anti-Trump? I am willing expand my vision if I could understand what someone like that looks like. Then how do you explain the fact that a bipartisan immigration bill had been negotiated, led by Jim Lankford, a staunch Republican. Lots of people "hate" Trump because they've been told to - especially those too intellectually lazy to look below the surface of prevailing media bias.
