Natalie has a covered dish lunch on Sunday, so she brought me green beans to cook for her. She's sure hers won't turn out and I am well known for my green beans. Other than that, which I can do tomorrow, there is nothing on my list of things to do this weekend.

I'm already worthless. Ordering pizza from Mellow Mushroom and renting a movie.

Worse--it's picture day! Gotta be there at 9:15 for an 11 am game. This team looks so skinny compared to the team they played last night, who had beaten the previous opponent 27-3! But they were tied when time was called, so Andrew was thrilled and called it the most exciting game in Mustang baseball history. They won their other two games. So far only 3 games in almost as many weeks because of that rain!kayrharris wrote:You're a good mom. It will be a long day. Little league hasn't kicked in here yet. but by the end of the month we'll be double sportin' it.
Son had soccer at 9:30, baseball at 10:30, and then run to audition for summer production of "Wizard of Oz" (partially run by our dance studio.)
Daughter had dance from 9:00 to 2:30, had to run lunch to her at 11:30 (luckily, corresponded to when son was auditioning at studio.)
I am hoping for rain on Monday: son has soccer practice at 3:45, and then a baseball game where he has to be at the field at 5:15 (field is at least 20 minutes from soccer practice).
Meanwhile, daughter has dance class at 5:15.
It really seemed like baseball and soccer did not overlap as much last year.
I can not imagine how we will survive when we are running three kids to three different evetns all at the same time.

I'm lucky my other kids didn't want to do organized sports. My oldest might want to row next year since that's an option for high school, but his cousin warned him about being at the docks at 6:30 am, so that may have quashed that. Mini-me turned down volleyball for his one true love, baseball.
I love my kids' "disorganized sports." They had me laughing so hard yesterday with their game of polo (or "pogo," according to Erin) played on bicycles with croquet mallets and a tennis ball. Then it devolved into a weird blend of street hockey and polo when they decided the bikes put them up too high. Erin was also out there with a bat and a tee and a tennis ball, and every time she hit the ball hard she'd call out her hilarious combo of "score" and "goooaaall" that comes out as "gorge!"
