He died in Stamford, CT of Alzheimer's at age 83.

Saturday, a local theater is showing "Willy Wonka" - it was already on the schedule, they usually show old family classic movies on Saturday morning, and this is one of Mrs. Spiff's faves. The theater has already said that it's going to turn into a "celebration of life" for Mr. Wilder's career.
