RIP Gene Wilder

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Mon Aug 29, 2016 1:45 pm

2016 you have gone to far!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

The star of three of my top ten films.

Saturday, a local theater is showing "Willy Wonka" - it was already on the schedule, they usually show old family classic movies on Saturday morning, and this is one of Mrs. Spiff's faves. The theater has already said that it's going to turn into a "celebration of life" for Mr. Wilder's career.

Considering the number of posts you've made since August 29, that cave must have had a really good WiFi connection.

He's averaged less than a post every other day. He could have done that by telegraph.
