Fanny gets a supermax for many things... the Roar/Brave video (I don't understand how people can hear these similarities in songs), calling Prince a possumlike animal, the gall to demand prescient points for Alan O'Day, remembering old commercials, and for cracking my ass up in chat last night. The supermax holds even though the Reds were never in the NL East...
Do you mean that you can't hear the similarities in those two songs or you don't understand how people can hear two different songs and realize they're similar? In my case I think it's because I come from a family of professional musicians as well as being a musician myself (although not a professional), so I hear notes and progressions and phrasings like some would hear words.
I don't remember saying anything ass crack worthy...unless it was comparing Putin to Lil' Kim or ranking the gayness of stripes v. checks v. argyle. (See what you people miss by not catching my rare appearances in chat????)
Also, I realized hours later out of nowhere that I meant the Cubs, not the Reds. The whole Braves/Cubs Cardinals/Reds thing always vexed me. That was just about the time that I realized that I did the krox backwards, but I have slydexia and I'm pretty sure that according to the ADA you have to count me as correct.
To make up for that, I came up with an alternate krox with a higher degree of difficulty both in team name and genre:
Red Necks, White Socks and Blue RIbbon Beer - Johnny Russell
Indian Outlaw - Tim McGraw
So it's your fault that I couldn't sleep for two hours because I had Johnny Duncan and Dave Dudley songs going through my head.....
I think that maybe the animal on the EP ALBUM might be an ermine (or an indigenous animal that was inspired by the ermine in the painting), because that artwork reminds me of da Vinci's Lady with an Ermine.
And, lastly, I actually saw an interview with Lorde where she talked about the Royals inspiration. It was a picture of George Brett, but it had nothing to do with baseball or the city. She was just struck by the Royals logo on his uni and thought it would be a cool song title....
And, dammit! I originally had 4, 5, and 10 but then thought that Brave would be too recent to be on a Mecca CD so I just shaved it down to 1 since Sister Christian seemed more likely than One Toke Over the Line.....ha!
