My personal favourite

Mine too  !

And while I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler's movies, I do find the Hanukkah songs entertaining.

I heard this for the first time the other day and I thought it was Peter, Paul and Mary.

There are a few other really good songs on that album. BNL even included 3 Hanukkah songs and a snippet of "Auld Lang Syne." "Hanukkah Blessings" is probably the best Hanukkah song that I've ever heard. They do an interesting version of "Jingle Bells," which includes the "Batman smells" line. Other stuff is a mixture of traditionals, silly ones and originals. I think it has something for everyone.

The Kinks' "Father Christmas"

Father christmas, give us some money
Don't mess around with those silly toys.
Well beat you up if you don't hand it over
We want your bread so don't make us annoyed
Give all the toys to the little rich boys

Here's another of my favorites:

Since many have already overlooked the "novelty" aspect:

I will stay with the question posed in the original post...usually, the "novelty" wears off after I hear something a few times. although "The Twelve Pains of Christmas" can still bring forth a chuckle or two.

Let me put in a vote for "The Chipmunk Song"...as timeless a Christmas novelty song as can be. It has it all...a sweet, instantly memorable melody, some amusing hijinks, and heck, even those 3-part squeaky harmonies are well put together...easier to take for me than those 3-part squeaky harmonies on "Saturday Night Fever" era Bee Gees, anyway

Upon closer inspection, Ross Bagdasarian (aka David Seville) has perfectly captured the magic, innocence, wonder, and yes, the "gimme gimme" (ALVIN!!!!!!) of a child's view of Christmas. Tell me one line that describes what a child feels during the days approaching Christmas more succinctly than "We've been good, but we can't last...hurry, Christmas, HURRY FAST!!!".

Don't know about you, but I remember having that feeling QUITE well
