Slow times for wedding news. BD is tired from the trip, though the cats stayed with us last night. I think they're showing their annoyance with her not being there. FSIL needs to tie strings on his fingers. Apparently he left behind two of the three gifts he had bought for her on the not-together gift-giving events - Christmas, her birthday, Valentine's Day. I suppose he had other things on his mind.
The big ticket eBay item is packaged, the invoice has been sent, and I'm awaiting payment. I can never keep it straight, is it good or bad for me if the US dollar drops against the Canadian dollar in the time between him sending the payment and me receiving it? I'm not sure there really is a lag. The payment will be in USD, regardless, so maybe it makes no difference anyway. I rediscovered the reason I'm amazed at the selling price. I had researched the artist's work at recent comic auctions. In August of 2006, a piece better than mine and similar to another I own went for $310. Mine went for more than four times that eighteen months later. Timing is everything.
At some point, the two sets of future in-laws need to meet. We have spoken with FMIL, who apparently is just as much a seamstress as GW. FFIL and I may just go off drinking somewhere while they discuss cloth and threads and such. "Hey, how 'bout them Lions?" Nothing is in the offing, but I would like to meet them, and FSIL's sister, sooner than the week before the wedding if that's possible.
