Monday non sequitur thread
I get off of work in 38 minutes. I want to see that bloody gerbil before I go home. Less than 100 posts away from 35,000. I know we can do it.

Someone who has posted 696 posts since this Bored's inception wants 100 posts in 38 minutes? What's wrong with that picture?NellyLunatic1980 wrote:I get off of work in 38 minutes. I want to see that bloody gerbil before I go home. Less than 100 posts away from 35,000. I know we can do it.

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

There are ways it can be done. We can always revive my old "In My Pants" game.MarleysGh0st wrote:Someone who has posted 696 posts since this Bored's inception wants 100 posts in 38 minutes? "There Will Be Blood In My Pants"

It's just sticking the phrase "In My Pants" to the end of a movie title. This game even got its own Bored Rankings title one week.ladysoleil wrote:I don't think I want to know the rules of that particular game.

Gotcha. Given some of the current movies, this could get scary.NellyLunatic1980 wrote:It's just sticking the phrase "In My Pants" to the end of a movie title. This game even got its own Bored Rankings title one week.ladysoleil wrote:I don't think I want to know the rules of that particular game.

Please don't. If only because it will make my workday at the Mighty Children's Book Empire that much more surreal.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:We don't even wanna get started with Harry Potter.
