Is that the same as the Belly Button of the World?

So you did. And I learned something from Uly's avatar!NellyLunatic1980 wrote:Found it!ulysses5019 wrote:Is that the same as the Belly Button of the World?

I wouldn't know. I haven't been in a Target in years.littlebeast13 wrote:sunflower wrote:Or Target, but only if he has khaki pants on.NellyLunatic1980 wrote: It's not just you. It does look like he's wearing either a K-Mart vest or a baseball jacket. Possibly a Cardinals jacket.
I thought Tar-jay went away from vests like we did a few years ago.....

How on Earth would you know that it has been 3 years exactly? Is that in your notebooks?littlebeast13 wrote:NellyLunatic1980 wrote:I wouldn't know. I haven't been in a Target in years.littlebeast13 wrote:

Neither have I.... 3 years to be exact I believe....

I don't know, I'm not their stylist...I just shop there. They wear red tops of some sort.littlebeast13 wrote:sunflower wrote:Or Target, but only if he has khaki pants on.NellyLunatic1980 wrote: It's not just you. If they would put Subway in Target and make everything like 5% cheaper it would be a no brainer. Mecca still has a slight edge, but as we've discussed, the paper towel and toilet paper issues might just be my breaking point.littlebeast13 wrote:sunflower wrote:I don't know, I'm not their stylist...I just shop there. I think their style change led to our style change, because I remember the red shirts when I was there 3 years ago, but we only eliminated the vests 2 years ago.....
Why Mecca has been trying to imitate Target so much over the last few years befuddles me. Both stores have different ways in which they are successful, and what works there does NOT work here..... it has only made us worse.....

The elimination of the Angel Soft and Charmin 24 roll packs is absolutely mind blowing to me...... those used to be our bread and butter items in the Paper Goods department.....

Seeing as at my 2nd most preferred Mecca location, the Target is right across the street...well, they better watch their step...
Well, good...because that would be the last day I'd go in to wait in line for 4 hours to buy a cart full of cleaning products and paper goods. The only time I love Mecca is at Christmas when that particular store that is across from the Target goes 24 hours, but doesn't advertise it, and I can go in and shop at 1 am without being bothered...and with no lines.littlebeast13 wrote:sunflower wrote:I'm watching the Quilted Northern very carefully...littlebeast13 wrote:

I'm pretty sure the Quilted Northern is not going anywhere. The department manager wrote a "D" on all the labels of items that were being deleted (As we call it), and neither the 12 or 24 roll packs had that on it....

We've only done the 24 hour thing twice since I've been there (2004 and 2005). Both times, the store was practically empty after midnight until the middle of Christmas week....
That may change this year with our new hours, since we are now open until midnight, and reopen as soon as the morning cashiers get clocked in around 6:30 instead of our posted 7:00 opening time....

Not connected, but they did build brand new porn store about a mile from the Mecca that I've been talking about. Actually, smack dab in the middle of my old neighborhood (giving you a good picture of the places I live, huh?? It's actually in what used to be an upscale furniture store)...and painted it bright, bright yellow. It's not as big as "the" porn superstore that I may or may not have shopped in before, but it's the same chain. Because in CT, we do chain mega-store porn.littlebeast13 wrote:sunflower wrote:I wish mine was open til midnight...especially since it's in the center of the universe, and all...littlebeast13 wrote:

Well, I would think you'd be able to do something about that.....
Is it connected to the porn shops?

There are shops like that that advertise on the radio, but none of them are really close to me.... not that I would patronize such stores....
The strip clubs are much closer, but they are all located in ghetto towns. Even Larry Flynt's place is located in maybe the worst city for crime in the area.....
