Man falls 47 stories, survives

Okay, you guys from New York probably already have heard about this. For some of the rest of us, it's new news of a most astonishing nature.

In the other thread that had the link to the video showing the people 'flying' in the air really disturbed me. On the day of, and on all the days since September 11th, I really tried to avoid seeing any of the pictures of the people who were forced to jump. It made me just too upset to think of what it must have been like for those people in that situation. The video in the other thread reminded me too much of what I imagined what it looked like to see those people falling. I like to think of myself as a person who can handle a lot of things, emotionally etc. Sometimes, I'm not very brave at all. :(

I'm very happy that this man lived, SC. It really helped "me" to hear of a good ending.

A common piece of physics lectures is the guy who fell out of a plane at 18000 feet and survived:

Now that I see both "Richard Feynman" and "9-11" mentioned in the same thread....

It was notable that the 9-11 congressional inquiry did NOT include a Feynmanesque outsider Disturber of the Fece (s).

By contrast to the Challenger inquiry.

Don't tell me. Let me guess. A guy ran up to him and asked: "What the hell happened?"

"I don't know. I just got here."

The victim lives in my town and is a parishoner at my church. He is still not out of the woods. Please pray for him and his family. He has three elementary-school age children.

The victim of the fall is going to make it. I don't know anymore specific details, but the news seems to be good.

Thanks for letting us know, Eric. We always hear the bad news, but seldom get a follow up with good stuff.

I hope he makes a complete recovery.

Thank you for the update, Goongas!

As a side note, what type of puppy is in your avatar? He/she looks remarkably similar to our pup. :D If I had to guess, I'd say that he/she is a bichon or maltese...?

:D
