Man falls 47 stories, survives
Okay, you guys from New York probably already have heard about this. For some of the rest of us, it's new news of a most astonishing nature.

Re: Man falls 47 stories, survives
In the other thread that had the link to the video showing the people 'flying' in the air really disturbed me. On the day of, and on all the days since September 11th, I really tried to avoid seeing any of the pictures of the people who were forced to jump. It made me just too upset to think of what it must have been like for those people in that situation. The video in the other thread reminded me too much of what I imagined what it looked like to see those people falling. I like to think of myself as a person who can handle a lot of things, emotionally etc. Sometimes, I'm not very brave at all.silvercamaro wrote:Okay, you guys from New York probably already have heard about this. I'm very happy that this man lived, SC. It really helped "me" to hear of a good ending.

A common piece of physics lectures is the guy who fell out of a plane at 18000 feet and survived:

Don't tell me. Let me guess. A guy ran up to him and asked: "What the hell happened?"silvercamaro wrote:Okay, you guys from New York probably already have heard about this. For some of the rest of us, it's new news of a most astonishing nature.

I am glad to hear he is going to make it, Eric. Continued thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Thank you for the update, Goongas!goongas wrote:The victim of the fall is going to make it. I don't know anymore specific details, but the news seems to be good.
As a side note, what type of puppy is in your avatar? He/she looks remarkably similar to our pup.
