I don't want to sign up for Facebook just to find BB news that ought to be shared here.sunflower wrote:For those Facebook inclined, there are some new photos posted of Zap and the kitties, very cute!

But Facebook is a happy place...it's never mean or hurtful! At least not in the circles I travel in!! And it is a lot easier to post pictures there!MarleysGh0st wrote:I don't want to sign up for Facebook just to find BB news that ought to be shared here.sunflower wrote:For those Facebook inclined, there are some new photos posted of Zap and the kitties, very cute!

All the people I want in my social network are already here!sunflower wrote: But Facebook is a happy place...it's never mean or hurtful! At least not in the circles I travel in!! And it is a lot easier to post pictures there!
And I don't know the first thing about Facebook culture. Do folks always sign up with their real names, instead of pseudonyms?

Yes, you use your real name. And you have to - one of my friends had tried to use a fake name but they don't allow it, it's not like myspace. Real names, but then you can provide as much or as little other personal information as you want to.MarleysGh0st wrote:All the people I want in my social network are already here!sunflower wrote: But Facebook is a happy place...it's never mean or hurtful! In a timely development, I see the following headline on the cover of this week's Time magazine: Why Boomers Hijacked Facebook.
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/artic ... 69,00.html
The column by Lev Grossman in an entertaining read, but it still doesn't make me want to give up any time on this place to hang out on Facebook.
