How can you ever go out in public again after being mauled by a poodle!?!?!? Maybe the French really are a bunch of cowards....
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

I was bit on the nose by our poodle when I was a kid. Didn't break the skin. My parents didn't believe me until the dog did it to another kid whose parents were over for a visit.

Hated that stupid dog.

It would piss me off more that my parents didn't believe me than that the stoopid dog bit me.

Oh, it did at the time.

It's been many years ago, but I think they apologized to me after seeing the stupid dog bite the other kid in the exact way I had described what happened to me.

The headline is incorrect. It's not a poodle. The dog is a Maltese.

The dog's actual breed is mentioned in the story.

I've heard of a Maltese Cross but never a cross Maltese.

Not to dis the Maltese breed, but they are kind of sissier than even poodles. And considerably smaller than standard poodles.

Not only was it not a poodle, he wasn't mauled either.

He was bitten. That's not the same as mauled. The article also uses the verb "savaged" without any justification. Any size or type of dog can bite you.

Standard Poodles, BTW, have been used as military dogs for hundreds of years. You would not want to be mauled by one of them.

Hmmm. Some of the news story are calling it a Maltese poodle.

This picture does look more like a hybrid than a straight Maltese:

Excuse me, but poodles are not sissies. We had a miniature when I was a kid, and he would routinely chase bigger dogs out of our yard. And he would attack anyone he thought was threatening a member of our family.
