No Hitler Birthday Cake

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Dec 17, 2008 12:25 pm

A New Jersey man who named his child Adolf Hitler Campbell is upset because a local grocery store refused to decorate a cake with the child's full name.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/20 ... cake_N.htm

He's also upset about the amount of negative internet publicity he's gotten over the entire incident. Money quote: "They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did."

Maybe not, but it's a fair bet that this kid is going to get far more than his share of verbal abuse and possible physical violence because dear old dad decided to make a point in naming the kid. One thing I agree with Dad about: he figured no one else in the world would give their kid that same name.

One of Campbell's other children has a middle name of "Aryan Nation."

Naming your child something like that borders on child abuse, if it doesn't cross the line into it. One wonders about some of the other beliefs of the father, given the additional evidence of his other children's names.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I remember a smelly Dick Tracy character named B.O. Plenty, but I bet a lot of little boys are going to have those initials soon....

Apparently Wal Mart agreed to make the cake. --Bob

As Minister of Propaganda, I hereby declare that everyone stop what they are doing and celebrate the birthday of Mr. Adolf Hitler Campbell! And everyone will be required to attend the party down at Chuck E. Cheese's! I am so evil sometimes, I scare myself....

On the cake of Adolf Hitler Campbell
They wrote the last name, but not the preamble
To save his birthday, his folks did scramble
But progeny of Dumpkopfs! is A.H. Campbell

It's hard to turn down work these days, I guess. And they can't afford to alienate their core customers...

:P :P :P :P :P :P

It's just sick to think there are still people like this running loose and procreating in the 21st century.

I think Pea or somebody added Eugene to the list.

Wayne isn't a bad name in and of itself, but getting it as a middle name seems to release anti-social tendencies in people........

My dad's middle name is Eugene.

He told me that he would never have even considered saddling either of his sons with it.
