Damning with faint praise (political)

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 10:15 am

Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger, a prominent McCain supporter, was asked whether Governor Palin was ready to step in as President should that be needed. His answer: "Of course not." He went on to say that with some time in the office she could be "adequate." Audio is available at the link. --Bob

I was just asking a rhetorical question. What's to eat?

All I have around here is dog food and birthday cake.

He wasn't ready when he ran 20 years ago, and he's not ready now, goshdarnit!

Maybe after another 36 years in the Senate he will be. Good thing his running mate isn't so darned old...
You betcha!

Your bumpkin of an old man don't scare me! I've been a bodyguard at some of the toughest clubs here in Hollywood! I once kicked Mr. T's ass all over the place and then hocked his jewelry to pay for my rides.

I won't be near a polling place next Tuesday honey. I wouldn't vote for you if it was a MILF of the Year contest...

I'll agree Palin is less qualified to be president than Biden. But she is as or more qualified than Obama. She's not running for president, but Obama is. Qualifications just don't matter to Obama supporters.

The data was quite consistent and supported the hypothesis.

I know what matters to MY supporters: middle names!
As Palin wound down her remarks, a group in the rear of the audience began a noisy chant of "John McCain! Not Hussein!"
I wish Johnny's was something more manly than Sidney, but at least it's a Real American name!

Um, my dad's name was Sidney, and my second son's middle name is, too.
They were/are both quite manly. Now, wasn't Barry on the Brady Bunch? Or something?

dont worry, if President McCain becomes incapacitated, Al Haig will take over.

I heard one of sarahs supporters at her latest rally here say that she supported sarah because she is better educated than obama .

she did attend more colleges
