RIP Andrew Prine

Actor best known for his roles in TV and movie Westerns of the 60s and 70s (including George Kennedy's deputy in Bandolero below) and later in cult horror films like Simon, King of the Witches (he played the title role) and Grizzly (he didn't).

I remember him in Chisum, although it wasn't a particularly memorable role. He was a shopkeeper who gets killed in the Lincoln County War.

He was in the supporting cast of the Miracle Worker -- again, not an especially memorable role, but he did a great job with it.

So why do I remember him so clearly? I dunno.
