It is either preparing to do something that we can only imagine after a few weeks of upright citizenryness, or it's posing for a Viagra commercial.

That's not a true Sago palm. It's a cycas revoluta, and yes, it needs something.

If you lived here, had Sago palms, and had gone further in your google you'd realize it's a cyca sago palm. A true sago palm is from Indonesia and trust me, most Sago palms around here, in home landscapes are mine. They're called Sago palms.

And one treats them like true palms. That cone was flourishing a month ago. They don't last forever.

Looks like a cygas erectus. And it shouldn't last for more than 4 hours.
