That's not a true Sago palm. It's a cycas revoluta, and yes, it needs something.

If you lived here, had Sago palms, and had gone further in your google you'd realize it's a cyca sago palm. A true sago palm is from Indonesia and trust me, most Sago palms around here, in home landscapes are mine. They're called Sago palms.

I know my palms. I stand by what I said. What you call a cyca sago is a cycas revoluta. What a revoluting development!
