7 years ago today...
I went five for five in the old phone game playoff. A little while later, I got a call from AP Taryn Brill who told me that I was going to New York. How could that have been seven years ago?

I went to the GC and found what I posted right after finishing that playoff round. That's the good thing about the GC, being able to see the entire history all the way back to the beginning. Here's what I posted, with the spoiler function added (it's number 47181 if anyone is interested):

Yep, that's the same Taryn Brill. Apparently she now goes by Taryn Winter Brill and she's an anchor and morning show host on a Sacramento TV station. There are many other photos and videos of Taryn on the internets.
I've probably mentioned this before, but when I was on the show I tried to strike up a conversation with her by mentioning that I was walking down Broadway that morning and happened to see that I was passing the famous Brill Building. I thought that might pique her interest, but she didn't know what I was talking about and had never heard of the Brill Building.
