Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

while the whole evolution thing truly offends me, I will sacrifce my personal disgust at it to do more research on this trend.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I am not offended by evolution but I agree, this needs some hands on work.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

I don't feel evolution is affecting the human race at this point. There is no natural selection so mutation will continue to occur but none of those mutations will propagate through the species since they do not confer any advantage in producing offspring.

Nice description of punctuated equilibrium theoryandrewjackson wrote:I don't feel evolution is affecting the human race at this point. You think so? That's not what I was going for at all. Punctuated equilibrium is still evolution driven by natural selection. I don't think that is happening to humans right now.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Nice description of punctuated equilibrium theoryandrewjackson wrote:I don't feel evolution is affecting the human race at this point. We would be in an equilibrium phase, as there is no evolutionary pressure now.andrewjackson wrote:You think so? That's not what I was going for at all. Hmmm. I guess I need to read up more on the punctuated equilibrium theory.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:We would be in an equilibrium phase, as there is no evolutionary pressure now.andrewjackson wrote:You think so?
