Okay, fine--I'll post in the "Dummy" thread. So you can feel TWICE as old! :P

Or your birthday can be twice as happy!

We all know he's definitely no "dummy". I think I even changed
it from AD to Alpha Dummy in my header. Sorry if I upset you. I'll do better next time.

I somehow doubt it. You don't seem to strive for excellence in your posting. Such a shame.

I'm sending ES down to give you some lessons on being your best.....

Well, he chose the name, so I have no problem with others using it even though I don't. But I gave Kay an excuse to post more, so it's all good! :P :P :P :P

I'm sure I'm making AD proud by arguing in his birthday thread.
Now I'm gonna have to apologize to him too! (sorry, it's the middle child syndrome
really working overtime this morning)

OK, just continue to make rookie mistakes in your posts and be the butt of everyone's jokes. Pretty soon, nobody will come forward to aid and abet you.....

I'm considerably more political than I usually let on. Ignorance annoys and frustrates me, though, especially when coming from smart people. Alas.

And that's the last I'll say about that!

I was looking for the Happy Birthday AD thread but I think I got lost.

Happy Birthday AD!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
