Back from OK
Funeral was different. First time I've ever been to one that wasn't religious in nature. My dad officiated, and he said he wasn't going to pretend that his mother had a faith that he was certain she didn't have.

Again, my condolences.TheCalvinator24 wrote:Funeral was different. First time I've ever been to one that wasn't religious in nature. My dad officiated, and he said he wasn't going to pretend that his mother had a faith that he was certain she didn't have.
But, I have to ask, what did you all do/say at the funeral? And where was it?
I've been to a little memorial gathering in someone's backyard, but there was at least a rabbi there to say a word or two- although the departed wasn't Jewish. And, there were the Bride's aunt and uncle, who did not have funerals, but cocktail parties, with (and I am not making this up) their ashes in a martini shaker.
I am about 25% sure of this.
