Is it too much to hope that the site of the vice-presidential debate will be a saloon, where Palin and Biden can hunker over the bar, point fingers and trade shots of Jack Daniels?

I don't know how enlightening it'll be, but it'd be great TV.
I am about 25% sure of this.

You have me on one point there. Obama can't flip-flop on any of his core principles. He has no core principles other than the advancement of Obama, and I highly doubt he's ever going to flip-flop on that one.
