Anyone Heard Rumours of a Timeline Game?

#1 Post by Here's Fanny! » Mon Sep 01, 2008 12:31 am

Me, neither.

Ha!

It's baaaaaaaaaack..............

Starting later today (yeah, it's Labour Day but rust never sleeps), it will run Monday through Friday for the month of September. I've kind of envisioned it like the NYT Crosswords. Starting out in ink while you spend five minutes in the can and getting progressively more difficult until by Friday you're searching the junk drawer for another pencil that still has an eraser and forget about the weekend! So, Friday's game will be a bit more involved and run through the weekend.

I've been informed by my mentor and Main Promo Wrangler, the lovely and talented Vandal, that Flock is responsible for originally bringing the Timeline concept to the board in the first place. So props to both of them!

I always like things nice and neat and tidy, with 5 questions per QOD and 10 questions per LS, so this time NO TIDINESS! You'll have no idea whether any particular day will have 1 question or 33. Why will you have no idea? Because neither do I. Ha!

Okay, am I forgetting anything? Oh, yeah, we have to have rules, huh? Because without rules how can we quantify anything?

1. Don't cheat.

2. Each game will be open until I post the next day's game or noon, whichever comes first.

3. Dogs and squirrels are welcome to play. Giant Indonesian Rats and gerbils, not so much.

4. Due to the nature of the game, I think LookingforHumourPoints is kind of screwed this month, as there won't be much to work with. Sorry, Butch. Go ahead, prove me wrong!

5. kayrharris must play every day or else I will cry and pout and take it out on everybody else. I will not punish Private BoB, I will punish all of you!

Look, a nice and tidy 5 rules. YAY!!!!11

You are putting a whole lot of pressure on kay.

She has a wedding coming up, you know.

On second thought - she is one strong babe - she can do it all.

And now I have a misspelled word in my post! I hate misspellings.

I'll blame it on the 7 month old I'm keeping. He was drooling all over me at the time.

Still only two teeth, although I swear two more on the bottom have got to be ready to pop through any minute now.

Casey will be passing -- she has the attention span of a flea for just about anything except herding, guarding, scrounging, and other jobs of our or her choosing not involving remembering dates. For example, if she decides it's her job to chase a tennis ball around, she'll bring it to you until you throw it, or she'll drop it into a pond or creek and chase it in herself, then repeat. Thanks for the offer...

She will be Most Excellent as Dance Captain in Annie's opera because that is a herding job.
