I hadn't heard of this case, but shooters are among the biggest dopers. They take something that slows down their heartbeat, so there's more of a window to aim and shoot without the movement of the heart affecting the aim. At least that's what I've heard.

The drug, which belongs to a class called beta-blockers, would not be considered a performance-enhancing drug in most sports; it works by blocking the action of adrenaline, and therefore lowers blood pressure and heart rate.

Propranolol is a great drug, usually considered abusive, Shooters and archers and such in sports, classical musicians auditioning doing the "100 bassoon players assessed blindly for one position" shtick, or who have stage fright, golfers on the putting green.
