I watched the men's 200m Dash last night and got a good chuckle out of watching Insane Bolt run. Once he reached the lead in the race he actually let up and coasted to the finish. It's actually scary to think what this guy to do if he goes all out for the entire race. I'm kinda thinkin he would be like Secretariat in the Belmont.

And I was happy to see homegirl (ain't that funny!) win the Balance Beam gold. And Johnathan Horton was terrific on the bars. Although, that looks pretty painful when they do those flips and land on their biceps. Ouch!

You were watching the semi-final, not the final. Energy conservation is desirable. Most sprinters who are absolutely certain their position for qualifying is certain, will hold up.

I thought I had made a quick-time movie of the final this AM off the trackside no commentary feed, but it dinna work.

If they broadcast those, who pays the royalties to the Hill Sisters, NBC, the IOC or the Chinese government? Of course, the latter would just rip them off like they do with all other copyrighted material.
