I made a mess in my kitchen

#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Mon Aug 18, 2008 4:58 pm

I went to a Pampered Chef party a few weeks ago.

The hostess was demonstrating ice cream sandwich makers. Despite the fact that most of the women there had been drinking, many sandwiches were made with a minimal mess.

I bought the gadget thinking that it would be fun.

Rather than store bought cookies, I made homemade chocolate chip cookies.

I guess that was my first mistake, because the cookies were still warm and they made a huge mess when smooshing the sandwiches together.

I used Dreyer's ice cream, then rolled the sandwiches in either chocolate sprinkles or mini chcolate chips.

My kids were laughing at me while I made them because I got chocolate all over the counters.

I'm sure they taste wonderful!

I hope they helped clean up. :)

Obviously the missing element was the drinking part.

Maybe you should have had a pomegranate margarita before starting.

At least then you would not have cared if you made a mess.

I did the same thing frosting warm cake out of the oven and not really cooked enough a few weeks ago...of course I am a guy so that's okay.

I'll leave the baking of goodies to Mrs. DS from now on. She had nerve enough to bake some fresh french toast this morning using La Brea Bakery bread and only offering me a little bite of it. Unfortunately it was for a birthday party at her office today and not for me... :x
I feel taked for granted.... :(
