Jan Weeks, one of the show's producers, says they're looking for all types of people "all walks of life and all occupations."
Awww, they got Jen's name wrong!
Good luck to any BB who may be going to this, today! I'm sorry that Kazoo decided not to be one of them.

Jason Idalski will be auditioning today in Detroit. If he gets on, you'll be able to see his new beard.

Good luck to Jason!

I do, but that's nothing new around here.
Does Jason have a photo from when he was a 12-year-old contestant on Kids Jeopardy or something, to use as his avatar?

Though their idea of "all occupations" is limited to actors, musicians, and screenwriters.

I went to the Detroit audition... but didn't pass the tests.
After taking the general test I wasn't too surprised, but I actually had a really good feeling about the movie test. There were only a couple that I didn't think I knew.
Turnout didn't seem to be overwhelming. I got there at 7:00 and I was in the first group... 360 of 375. I didn't count how many people passed, I was too busy listening for my number, but there were a lot of general test passers, and much fewer movie test passers...
oh well maybe next time.

Sorry about that, whittler.
Any chance you can take a trip to NYC? (One that you'd be taking for the sake of visiting NYC, not just for another audition.)

I hope that she decided to try out and just didn't tell the bored about it!

No, her excuse may have been questionable, but I have the feeling that her decision not to go was a firm one.

Maybe she will surprise us! That's is the outcome that I am hoping for!

Not much of a chance. Last week I was driving through NYC for the first time, for a wedding. I have friends in the area, but I will probably wait for a road audition, hopefully one closer to Chicago...
it probably didn't help that I had to drive from my in-laws house in Lansing... which meant I had to get up at 4:00 am, my time...

That surprise will send shock waves throughout the bored for sure.
