A slow week, despite the Olympics and two gus hunts. Congrats, Kay and Uly!

YAY for getting my own edition name! I'll take what I can get since I'm not going to be going anywhere here anytime soon.

I'm also torqued because I forgot to calculate the time difference correctly and didn't get up until 4:30 to watch Lithuania/Russia. Only to find out it was already over!
Spoiler
Lithuania won! They're 3-0, yay!!!!11
Oh well, at least that means I don't have to wait as long as I thought I did for US/Greece.
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

It's about time!

Like the name this week as well. Now go get some sleep, Fan. :)

I guess this is basketball you're talking about?

I have several friends here from Greece. A couple of them worked with the Auburn University men's basketball program for a while. I need to check and see if any of them are on the team if I can remember their names.
Maybe I'll recognize them if I see them.

The one that cracks me up is a big black guy who looks like a slightly smaller Shaq whose last name is Schortsianitis.

The only other ones I remember off hand is Pelekanos, Spanoulis and Zisis.

Thanks as always for doing this, LB.

The new snail, described in the current edition of the journal Science, was discovered in the hostile hydrothermal vent environment of the deep Indian Ocean.

Anders Waren, a biologist at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm and the lead researcher behind the find, said this "very strange little beast" is the first animal discovered that uses iron sulfides for a structural purpose.

LOL! Good luck finding enough of these little beasts to eat at the base of your nearest hydrothermal vent environment smoker.

No wonder my post counts are down! There have been two gus hunts and I missed them both.

92-69 victory for us. Yawn. Pool B is full of cupcakes. Bring on the Lithuanians!

This list is what makes me try really hard to at least drop by for a little while on Thursday. Thanks LB.

I've gotta get busy! Two lightly active and two inactive BB's just above me, and I've been stuck in place for weeks!
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
