Olympic Basketball Thread for Marley, Bball's newest fan!
So, I understand some center we don't care about (well, two centers we don't care about, ha!) carried a flag.
On to more important stuff, how about that badass Linas Kleiza?
And, if some party was running a ticket consisting of Dwight Howard and Chris Paul in November, I'd vote for them.

In the past, I have rooted for Argentina in international competitions.
Its longtime point guard was Juan "Pepe" Sanchez, one of my all-time favorite Temple Owls. I was particularly happy for the gold medal win in 2004.
Pepe has retired from international competition, so I may watch Fanny's Lithuanians with interest.
I have always had a soft spot for the Lithuanian basketball team. When I went to Atlanta in 1996, everyone's presents (except TLAF) were tie-dyed Lithuanian basketball tee shirts.

Updated for Marley because I'm certain that he wants to stay informed:
Three teams still undefeated in pool play:
Lithuania
Spain
USA
Lithuania plays Croatia in 1 1/2 hours (the dedicated HD Olympic Basketball channel rocks!)
Then a couple hours of sack time and it's USA v. Spain in the battle of the Group B unbeatens at 8 am mountain time (adjust accordingly).

So who are the only undefeated teams left now? Why Lithuania and USA, of course!
The Lithuania/Croatia game was a good one (it better be if I"m watching at 2 am, ha!). Lithuania comes from behind to win! And who was once again the hero? Do I even need to answer that? Ha!
