top o' the mornin'®

The August weather break has arrived. Every year about this time it seems that the weather gods have mercy on the Ohio Valley and send down some cool Canadian air. The result is overnight temperatures in the 60s and highs in the 80s with low humidity.

Yesterday the Internet connections in the office were very slow for several hours in the morning. About 9:30 we got an official notice not to go online and try to watch the Olympics, and shortly afterward the connectivity improved significantly.

Our August break is here too. Yesterday our high was only 95. We were at 106 on Sunday...

It's all his fault. That'll be $10.

I had to pick up my girls at my mother's house this weekend. The front with the August break came through there Sunday morning. We left about 1 p.m., and the temperature was 78. When we got home, 2 1/2 hours later, it was 102, and we weren't close to the hottest part of the day.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

I don't think it's been in the 90's since last Tuesday, and isn't forecast to hit 90 the rest of this week...

We'll probably pay for this somehow come September....
