My daughter, my sister and her daughter were just pulling into the Casino lot when I called for an update at 6:45. My daughter promised a call right after they take the test.

If she passes the test, I may be back for some additional advice on the interview/questionarrie. I think we have some good stories and approaches to areas she should cover when asked.

Correct as is her daughter. I don't think either will pass the test but if they do, Kayla is perky so watch out. Think hairdresser with a scissor tatoo on her neck.

I just decided that I have been in the cities too much the last few weeks (for work) and I just did not feel like going.

Plus my gut tells me that if I did not get the call after my awesome 2001 audition where I wowed the AP's (Shakespeare reading hog farmer-etc) that I won't ever get the call.

They were in the 2nd group--375/group and between the three from my family they had 2 passers. They took both the movie and general test. My daughter represents both passers as she passed both tests. She said there were about 15 that passed both and at least 50 from the general. She goes back at 1:30 for the interview. I forgot to ask how many total people were in line.

Things she will use to make a "connection" with the interviewer:

Fargo--since she lives there we are attempting a little humor around the movie

Award winning bread maker--both local county fair and ND state fair

former employment as a research sceintist

some good embarassing things/dating/former jobs

she wants to use my being on WWTBAM--I don't think so. Thoughts from you guys?

I don't think TPTB like mentioning stuff like that on air, so it's unlikely to help her get the Happy Card. She can mention that in the extended interview after they call her to tape an episode.

Jenny called a little bummed. No 2nd interview. She tried to get the interviewer off of the "movie theme" week questions but to no avail. Guess she should have made sure she failed that test. She said there were about 80 people for her session and she was interviewed in about the middle and up to her only 3 moved on to a 2nd interview.

She said she had a fun day and was happy she gave it a try.

Drat! That's the disadvantage of the auditions where you're forced to take both tests.

I did my best to answer the movie questions, but that wasn't really a hazard for me.

I think if he taught a pig to recite Shakespeare, it would be like the princess: "Kiss him and turn him into a prince!!??? Are you kidding? This kingdom is full of princes! A talking frog will make me a mint!"

I'm glad she had fun - passing the test is not trivial - passing both is great and gives her quite a bit of bragging rights - thousands and thousand don't pass even once and this is from a group who try out thinking they have a shot so it is already a self-selected group who know quite a bit and enjoy trivia - so she should be very proud.

I know the odds now are steep, but here is hoping she will break the trend and that she gets the happy card.

He says "more than a thousand" showed up to audition, which actually sounds like a small turnout for a cattle call. OTOH, he says a healthy 80 out of 375 in his group passed the written test and 30 of those made it to the second interview.

Told that 5 passed both test, including my friend, and 25 or so passed one of the other tests. (My wife passed the movie test.) They only saw women producers for interviews and Jen was around too. The evidence suggests that unless they got two interviews their chances are 0 in 100.

Yes, they are now doing a second interview of those whom the first interviewer deem worthy. Not all who get the second interview have gotten happy cards, but no one from our small sample have gotten happy cards without it. That's still a theory.

What seems to have been an occasional practice in past seasons has become standard policy this season: Some of the people who pass the test and have an interview are asked to stay a bit longer to have a second interview. This second one is videotaped, and you have to sign a a release form before they tape it. I believe that Jen, the chief producer, conducts all the videotaped interviews, while the first ones are done by her various associates.

The producers tell everyone that "it doesn't mean anything! Not getting a second interview doesn't mean you're not getting into the pool, and getting a second interview doesn't mean you are getting into the pool." From the evidence we've seen so far from BB auditions, this is a half-truth; the second interview is not a guarantee, but not getting the second interview appears to be an instant kiss of death.

We don't know that for a fact. She is the producer with the most experience (all the way back to when WWTBAM started auditions in 2001) so she seems to be in charge at the auditions.
