After all my whining yesterday

#1 Post by kayrharris » Wed Aug 06, 2008 7:07 am

in the gratuitous thread, I didn't think things could get worse.

Unfortunately they did. When the phone rings at 2:12AM, you know it's not good news. My husband's two daughter's 26 year old half brother committed suicide last night. No details at the moment. They live 250 miles away.
All I know is chaos is left behind when something like this happens. He wasn't married, but has a 2 year old daughter.

I was still awake at 3:30. I'm not sure what time I finally got back to sleep, which was fitful the rest of the night anyway. The family needs prayers please. Thanks!

Oh, Kay, somehow I missed this earlier. If there's anything I can do to help or if you just need somebody far away to listen to you talk, I'll bet my phone number is programmed into your cell.

I'm so sorry. My condolences go to everyone who knew and loved the young man.

So sorry to hear that Kay. It is a tragedy indeed, most especially for the poor 2 year old...and those who have to try to explain it to her. My thoughts are with you all.

Oh Kay.

Hugs to your whole family.

It is so hard to understand how anyone with a 2 yo would choose not to want to see them grow up.

Apparently the story is he and his girlfriend had broken up. She and the 2 year old had moved out. He sent his girlfriend a text message about 8:30PM on Tuesday about being a failure and not being able to live without his soul mate.

About midnight his car was found at a four way stop. They found him close by off the road, in the woods. He had taken a rope and hung himself. :(
Very tragic way for a 26 year old young man to end his life and for those
he leaves behind.
