The thing that's truly ironic about this is they seem to micromanage contestant selection into the ground...
But, from the inference, they are casting incompetent celebrities to play with those contestants.
Good going, show's TPTB!!

Sorry Tim. This sounds like the crap I went through with Duel but even worse. In your case they originally made it seem that you were chosen for the show no matter what. At least with Duel, they said I was a "finalist."

Holy crap re the Craigslist link! Unbelievable.
Hey, MKearny- Ah, that was you! Will have to save comments for later. Were you given an airdate?
Regarding my earlier post: to clarify, I shouldn’t have implied that the day was filled entirely with gloom and doom. A couple of contestants actually did very well. There was one celeb who was quite good; it was obvious they’d practiced – a lot. Two others – no comment... for now. Let’s just say Regis had a field day. The fourth – ok, but made numerous technical errors. You’re right, gsn – they’re having potential contestants jump thru hoops but don’t seem to be taking enough time screening or training the celebs. The saving grace is partner-switching to even the playing field, but it would be nice to see their abilities less polarized.
Betty White (among 3 others) is scheduled for today and would have been the best bet for Tim, had his professional ethics not prevented him from grabbing this potential landslide opportunity…
Meanwhile, wonder how Chad is doing today!? Hope we hear about a more positive experience from his end. Looks like they may have been saving this child prodigy for Betty White ratings gold. Would have been interesting if they had paired the former prodigy against the current.
