We are thinking of going there is late August for a family vacation--summers apart are necessary for Lil' Buff--but still suck.

I can highly recommend the Greenville-Spartanburg airport as inexpensive (with the right airlines), clean and well-run. Asheville is closer but I've never used that airport, so I have no idea.Buffacuse wrote:We are thinking of going there is late August for a family vacation--summers apart are necessary for Lil' Buff--but still suck.
The Cashiers area is supposed to be very nice. Good golf. Cool at night even in August, so take sweaters.

Never been to Lake Glenville, but that certainly a sweet spot in the world.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
