After threatening for weeks and months that my subscription was in danger of being interrupted, I finally got the "THIS IS YOUR FINAL ISSUE" screaming across the cover issue this week.

After 19 years, I have broken off the sick relationship I had with Entertainment Weekly. Yay!
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

I should be addicted. I will post more thoughts in my own personal Trivial Pursuit audition thread.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

And for the lonely single zombie ZombieHarmony
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
