I found it.
No "he's in the chair" call yet as of 4:00 CDT.
They did say taping could run as late as 7:30 Eastern, so I'm not leaving yet.
No news is, well, no news.

Question for those of you in the know:
What are the "rules" for info about how contestants fare?
Do we have to wait until Sept. ??? to see for ourselves on the TV?
Can a PAF post: "he called and was at "X" level question?
I'm sure these must seem like stupid questions but if any one would like to fill me in, I'd really appreciate it!

I'm not sure we know, with the new info coming in about PaF's and such. Beyond that, the contestant has to sign a non-disclosure statement, and in the past, at least, the contestants who post here have discussed with their PaF's, for the most part, what/how much to divulge.

PaF's have to sign a release authorizing TPTB to use their name, picture, and hometown on the air. We each submitted a picture with the forms.
There was nothing in the form I signed about non-disclosure.
There are, however, new "wrinkles" that contestants are not allowed to disclose, even to their PaF's.
Oh, and in case anybody's wondering, it's 5:00 p.m. CDT and still no word on Frogman.
No news is no news.

I don't know about what might be in the new rules, since they still haven't been updated online, but our general approach in past seasons is that we won't post anything that would "spoil" the show. So we'll say when the "heads up!" call arrives, when the contestant enters the Hot Seat and when to "stand down" when the contestant leaves the Hot Seat, but we won't talk about what the question was or how much it was worth. Bored members might be able to make some assumptions, though, based on how long that Hot Seat time was.mom2five wrote: What are the "rules" for info about how contestants fare?
And all the the above is dependent on the contestants giving their PAFs permission to say those things. If they'd rather keep some or all of that private, we'll respect their wishes.

All I can say for now is that I will almost definetly be in the HS on Monday - I plan on giving a fairly detailed report on things I can talk about sometime after I return to Austin on Wednesday next week. Till then there will be things I can write about then, things I can't write about until after the air date, and a handful of things I probably cannot relate at all (don't worry, they are not some big, dark secrets, mostly boring production details that generaly can't be disclosed but also not very interesting or important).
Regarding using the PAF's as a data source (granted a limited one at best), I've been asked by TPTB to ask my PAFs to not reveal any details whatsever about what they know until the show airs, including whether or not they were called, if they were called, what level I was at, what the question was, how sure they were of their answer and if they suspect if I got it right or not - no nothing. I am assuming that they will respect this request even if it is not legally binding. In essence the only thing I feel comfortable in my PAFs sharing to the world is knowing whether or not I have finished my taping. The mantra they gave us when anyone wants to find out anything about what happend on the show was "Tune In and Find Out" and I plan on respecting their request as well.
That is not to say I can't share some info on my trip, what happened outside the studio before and after the taping (as long as it wont reveal anything about my actual game) and the expected air date - prior to its airing, and I fully expect to do that.
So again, thanks to everyone for their support, I'm really touched to see threads about whether or not I made it in to the hot seat, I can't begin to tell you how much that means to me.

As for the rule changes, why on earth would they want to keep them secret --- once taping for the season has begun?? I thought there was no such thing as bad publicity... but with the way this show treats its most diehard fans, I guess it's not that surprising.
Hopefully you'll have some great stories to tell come air date!
