It's time to play "Guess the Quote"!

#1 Post by NellyLunatic1980 » Fri Jul 18, 2008 6:33 am

Which U.S. senator said the following on the Senate floor yesterday:

"We won't let the Venezuelas or the Nigerias or the Saudi Arabias or the Irans jerk us around by the gas nozzle the way they are doing it now."

That would be my former Senator from Idaho.

Speaking of jerking our nozzle, we finally hit the four buck threshold for regular here yesterday. Luckily, Costco was still at 3.84. So, I filled up at such a bargain.

Oil is down $14 a barrel as of yesterday...or that was the last figure I heard.
Funny how it takes it so much longer for the price at the pump to go down.

I still won't let my 26 gallon tank get less than 1/2 empty so it will be less than $100 when I fill up!

Mr. Craig hates foreigners jerking him around by the gas nozzle. He much prefers good ol' American gas nozzle-jerking.

Amazing, since King's was 3.87 two days ago and 3.99 yesterday! Every time there's a big jump like that, I go right over to Costco and check because they're usually a couple days later in the hikes than everybody else.

In between King's and Costco I passed an 18 and they were at 4.05. Once the dam breaks, there's no turning back (similar to the teetering on the three buck edge for so long after Katrina before it went back down). Nobody wants to be first, but they'll line up to be the second!

Oh, for the love of Peter, would you people get off it? The energy crisis is serious, and I am proud to be on top of it. Can't you people just suck it up and get behind me on this?
