Great deal!
Last weekend I saw that the patio furniture that I had been coveting at Target was 50% off.
Yesterday I got a 10% one day shopping pass to Target in the mail.
Today I went to three different Target stores and was able to get the pieces of furniture that I wanted, and it had been marked down to 75% off. Using my 10% off coupon, made it an incredible deal.
I tried telling Jeff about it today, when I talked to him on the phone, but he never gave me the chance to tell him.
The girls think that he will never notice the new furniture.
I am going to start putting it together when it gets cooler outside.

They also had free shipping on their patio furniture that was on sale.
I ordered a few pieces as our Target store doesn't have much in stock.
I hope I don't have to put it together or I'll be recruiting help from my son and fsil.
I did get a wonderful shoe rack for my closet. It holds 30 pair of shoes in very little space. Wish I had room for another one. I did manage to put that together by myself. Thank goodness it didn't require any tools.

Forget about them. I am an excellent putter-togetherer of Target furniture. Fly me to Alabama and I'll take care of all of it for you. I can even supply my own screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and hex tool.kayrharris wrote:

So here's a BB&B hint that they will tell you if they're nice, but I've run into a lot of customers who had no idea, so I've enlightened them.sunflower wrote:Good for you!!!

BB&B will take the 20% and $5 coupons up to a year after the expiration date on them and you can use up to three at one time (on three items, of course), even though it says one per trip.

Emma kept asking me to help put together the furniture. I said no, let me do it, but then after doing a chair, I opted to let her help. I am at a disadvantage because I am a lefty, but she keeps up with me because she has nimble little fingers.
I just let her put a table together herself. I checked it and she got the screws pretty tight.
We have one chair to go.

YES! I knew this. Well what I didn't know was that you can combine the $5 and 20% in the same order, as long as you have one item for every coupon you use. So if you buy something for 14.99 and then throw on some candy for $0.59, you can get $5 off and 20% off the higher priced item, so that your total purchase is all of $7. I love it.Here's Fanny! wrote:So here's a BB&B hint that they will tell you if they're nice, but I've run into a lot of customers who had no idea, so I've enlightened them.sunflower wrote:Good for you!!!

And I've been told that they never expire, and that you can use unlimited coupons. You just can't use unlimited competitor's coupons. The most I've ever used in one order is 10, and the cashier didn't even bat an eye.
And yes, I go through our mailroom recycle bins to hoarde BB&B coupons. And I admit it, I just did it today. I keep them in my car. I have a problem!

Wow, your BB&B is much more flexible than mine is! I was told never expire, but then Linens n Things started with the one year deal, so BB&B followed suit. And, reading back, I was wrong about 3 (that's the grocery store), locally you can use 5 coupons at once.sunflower wrote:YES! I knew this. Yes, I have a stack of those big BB&B cards in my car, too. Because you never know when a BB&B shopping spree will break out! Those coupons aren't going to do you any good sitting on the kitchen table.

Our LNT is more restrictive. They won't take expired BB&B coupons, but they will take expired LNT coupons. But they'll only take 3 or 4 per order, which is really just a pain because it just forces me to do multiple orders if I have more items. Based on what you said though, I should be thankful our BB&B has not followed suit!
It's amazing how much you have to keep straight to save a couple bucks!! But it can pay off big!
Now if only Babies R Us could get on the bandwagon. I was registry shopping at both BB&B and BRU and needless to say, there were few deals to be had at BRU so I quickly lost the giddiness when I checked out there. Can't win them all!

I much prefer BB&B to LNT, and that was before they tried to not honour an expired coupon for me (BB&B would take it. Well....okay, just this once...).
I used to go to LNT just because they were so much closer. Then they moved to the east side of town. Okay, since they're both a trek, I'll go to BB&B. Then I moved to the east side of town. Yay. LNT. Sometimes I'd still go way north to BB&B.
A year or so ago they started making a new shopping center right close to me. When the signs started going up and I found out the first two stores were going to be Hobby Lobby and BB&B, there was dancing in the streets!
It doesn't take much to thrill me.

I have a Toys R Us Visa, that I use for my household expenses. I pay it off every month, so there is no interest, but I get a $10 gift card to Babies R Us or Toys R Us with each $1,000 I spend. When the girls were younger, I used the gift cards on diapers, now I save them up and get stuff like Play Station games and guitars.sunflower wrote:Our LNT is more restrictive. Lol...I got that too!
I agree I like BB&B much better. I was stuck shopping at LNT for the longest time...I had bought about $300 worth of bedding, and lost the receipt and returned them for store credit. Do you know how long and painful it was to use that credit??? BB&B just stocks better stuff...you'd think it would all be the same but so much of it is not. Plus no one ever registers at LNT.

PSM, thanks for yesterday's post re: Target. I"d had my eye on some patio furniture there, as well, and decided to go after work. The furniture was gone, but I'd been eyeing one of those gazebo things for hub to sit under, as he loves to sit outside but doesn't have enough sense to move with the shade. THey had them marked down to 79.99, so I got one. When I got to the register and the guy rang it up, it came up at $37.48! So I got my parents one, too. So we both thank you for the heads up!
