Lizbit earns her duck.
Lizbit was awarded her stuffed duck and a certificate that states she has passed Obedience 3. In theory, this means that she should be able to pass the K-9 Good Citizenship test. That must be taken in another place and conducted by someone she has never met. I don't feel an immediate compulsion to get her tested, as I care far less about that document than the determination that she can be reliable and well behaved under almost any circumstances. Currently, she is better behaved in public places than at home, which probably is part of her nefarious plan to get to go out more.
The duck's noise-maker works, after all, except it doesn't squeak. It quacks. I cannot make it work, as mere squeezing isn't enough. Lizbit figured it out in about 62 seconds.

Obedient dogs are putty in my hands....

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.
