Unusual give-away day.
It's "Jason Giambi Moustache Day."
The first 20,000 fans received fake moustaches.
In addition to being a little goofier than the Yankees usually get, it's a way to get people to vote for the Giambino on the Final Vote for the All-Star Game.
Last time I can recall the Yankees being this whimsical was the night the last "Seinfeld" episode aired. Bob Sheppard (voice-of-God PA announcer) bid an official Yankee farewell to a loyal employee- George Costanza.

I ought to check the times on the schedule more often. I sat down to watch the YES Network broadcast tonight. For a moment I thought it was rather bright for 7:05 PM even in the summer, then I noticed the "Yankees Encore" bug in the upper right of the screen. Game was this afternoon and is long over. D'oh!
