QoD July 9, 2008

2 points per correct answer, 10 points if you get all four correct. Answer with a Spoiler tag in one post in this thread before noon CDT on Thursday, July 10.

No outside sources allowed. Just take your best guess.

1. What river is formed by the confluence of the Alaknanda, Dhauliganga, Nandakini, Pindar, Mandakini, and Bhagirathi rivers?

2. What artist was a sailor, stockbroker, and laborer on the Panama Canal before dying in the Marquesas Islands in 1903?

3. John Gottfried Galle was the first person to observe, and recognize, which planet? (Galileo actually saw it first but thought it was a star)

4. Seki, gote, senti, sabaki, and atari are all terms used in what board game?

You still have a couple of hours to answer the July 8 questions if you have not done so already.

I'm back. They found me out at the Bed and Biscuit. That is, maybe they found me out. Nobody yelled at me or anything, but after I posted last week, they started locking the door of the office that had the computer I used, and sometimes I thought a couple of the vet techs were looking at me funny, but maybe they just liked looking at me. It's hard to tell.

Anyway, my mom finally came to get us, so I have my laptop back. I'm going to go see if I can still play yesterday's questions.
