Your Millionaire guest host will be...
...Leeza Gibbons. First female guest host after five males.
This will be your 35th and final week of Millionaire for season 6. No more new Meredith until September.

Geez, Marley, you can sit through 5th Grader but you can't watch Entertainment Tonight? She started in the Boston area, but became a reporter for ET early in its run. I'm not sure if she's still there or is now on one of the other entertainment tabloids. If it weren't for Mary Hart's legs, Gibbons would probably be the better known of the two early ET female reporters.MarleysGh0st wrote:So who the heck is she?15QuestionsAway wrote:...Leeza Gibbons. I wonder if they skewed the questions toward pop culture while she was host. We'll find out.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Even if I had the slightest interest in watching ET, it's on the same time as J! here, so it'd be a non-starter.gsabc wrote:Geez, Marley, you can sit through 5th Grader but you can't watch Entertainment Tonight?

Answer to question you'll never be asked on WWTBAM
Lezza Gibbons is from Irmo.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

She also had her own syndicated show. How do I know this? I was on it along with Robby Roseman (sp?), the first llama, a fellow who missed a 500k q on Millionaire, and the first person to win a million dollars on Iwon.MarleysGh0st wrote:So who the heck is she?15QuestionsAway wrote:...Leeza Gibbons. I'm not sure what the Boston connection is, but I'm pretty sure she got her start on PM Magazine in Beaumont, TX. She later moved up to the big time on PM Magazine in Dallas. From there, she went to Entertainment Tonight.gsabc wrote:Geez, Marley, you can sit through 5th Grader but you can't watch Entertainment Tonight? There was also Tim Vincent, from Access Hollywood.takinover wrote:I remember Al Roker and Tom Bergeron.Shade wrote:Out of curiousity, who were all of the other guest hosts, I know that Dave Price and Billy Bush once guest hosted but who else?
About Leeza Gibbons, I think she was a good guest host. But I really wish they could get Regis to guest host.

I like Leeza just fine, although it's inevitable that I would like Meredith more. I do think Leeza is far smoother and more interesting than most of the temporary guest hosts have been.
My only distraction is her hair. Sometimes I don't like her hair one bit, then I think that I should wear my hair exactly like that. As you can tell, I hone right in on the important things.

You mean like when Meredith wear bright colors and I am in love with what it does to the color of her eyes and miss 3 or 4 questions.silvercamaro wrote:I like Leeza just fine, although it's inevitable that I would like Meredith more. That's right! I was distracted by the interplay between the colors of her wardrobe and her eyes. I demand a replay. Easier questions would help too.peacock2121 wrote:You mean like when Meredith wear bright colors and I am in love with what it does to the color of her eyes and miss 3 or 4 questions.silvercamaro wrote:I like Leeza just fine, although it's inevitable that I would like Meredith more. Then today's show might just put you over the edge! Transcripts are done, but not posted yet. I left out some stuff I almost typed in regarding Leeza being a bit over the top today with her intros. But maybe that's just me.
As far as the important stuff, I'm not crazy about her hair. I like her better in a different style.

Leeza has not bothered me and I think she is a capable fill-in host for a week.
To me the best of the subs was Tim Vincent. Dave Price was my least favorite. Five shows is the max I could take of Al and Billy. If Meredith will have subs next season I don't mind a week here and there to see how different people handle the hosting gig. The Qs and As are there still there and that's the main thing.
If there comes a time that the show continues and Meredith is done then a veteran host like Tom Bergeron should be able to keep the show going.

silvercam says:
I think she looks like she's had a lot of "work done", as they say. Botox, & permanently wide-opened (like a squirrel, though of course not an evil one) eyes. And her brows are painted or whatevered on higher than they have to have been provided by nature, which adds to the "too-awake" look. To each their own. As they say.My only distraction is her hair.
