Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at last night's Daytime Emmies.
He wasn't the only vet to shine last night either. Jeanne Cooper, 79 years young and mother of Corbin Bernsen, won her first Emmy. She has been playing the same role on The Young and the Restless for 35 years.
Another thing I learned last night. They now have a category for best Court Room series. I had no idea there were so many "tell it to the judge" shows on the air that they merited their own category. They gave the award to a woman who was more slinkily dressed than half the actresses at the show and who looked barely old enough to be in law school, let alone a judge.
And still no Emmy for my hero, Jerry Springer.
Congrats to Regis

I used to be a soap opera updater, and trivia question writer, and although I mostly covered the ABC soaps---I was thrilled that she FINALLY won! I bet she thought she never would.
