First, congrats, go et 'em!
Second, I looked at the headline and thought, "They're letting superheroes audition for J!?"
I am about 25% sure of this.

Good luck!
I haven't heard of any Cleveland invitations yet, but Chicago, NYC and Boston have all taken place, I believe.

Cleveland was my 2nd choice but since I have family in DC I wanted to go there if possible.
I was beginning to get worried -- I think I was only borderline on passing the online test this time (maybe 35-36 vs. about 42 or 43 in 2006.) But since I hadn't heard of anyone else auditioning in DC yet, I hadn't given up either!

Congratulations to you, and good luck.
Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything, even though I think I passed. Oh well, next year again into the breach, I hope.
I will acknowledge for the record that I have no right to complain, because I did get a shot at WWTBAM. Good luck to all of you who are still trying to climb that hill.

There will be at least one more slot open for the DC auditions - I got an invite today that I will of course decline.
I posted here at the time of the online test that I took it this year because my last audition had been over 18 months before. And so I thought I was out of the pool. Little did I know . . .
I also posted that I wasn't sure I passed. I guess I did.
Peter, I hope you get my slot!

I think it would be rather amusing were you to show up so recently after your games had been aired. But the right thing to do, of course, is to open up the slot for someone else.

Cha-ching! I guess I got Dave Simpson's slot. All the sweeter since I was completely reconciled to being passed over this year.
Congratulations! You have been selected for a follow-up appointment at an upcoming Jeopardy! contestant search for the Washington DC area, exclusively for those who successfully passed the online test. This is the next step in becoming a Jeopardy! contestant. We have reserved the following appointment for you:
When: Tuesday, July 29th Time: 9:00am
Where: Washington DC

Great news! Congratulations to both of you, and break a couple of legs on the 29th!
