I told a friend the other day that I had extra tickets for the Cards-Phillies games this weekend. He told me that he sold his upper deck tickets for Friday's game on Stubhub for $30 each (he had 16 tickets), so I thought I would give it a try. I noticed that there were only a few listings that had more than four seats together (I have eight seats), so just for the hell of it, I listed them for $45 each. Mind you now that these are $14 bleacher tickets.
I was dead tired when I got home last night, so I didn't check my e-mail, but this morning I found that the tickets were all gone. POOF. I know they had some good give-aways this weekend, but......
BTW, the give-away Sunday (Fathers Day) is a Fredbird "Boble-Belly" statue.

As one who has had the curse of having to wait in a huge, long line for batting practice not once, not twice, but thrice in the past 2 seasons for idiotic promotions like this.... I can say that people are indeed crazy when it comes to stupid collectibles that are nothing but plastic junk that will be worth nothing in about 10 years....
The one that always cracked me up was the Chris Carpenter doll giveway in September of '06. People were going in the stadium, getting thier dolls, then turning right around and leaving the stadium in droves.
Then again, that game got rained out anyway. I'm still bitter about that....
