Wedding Blog: BD**2 - 60

Some of the things that need to be finalized:

Specifics on the music - need to finalize what gets played when during the ceremony ("Funkytown" just before the "I do's" is out), and what we'll play in the reception. I need to find some good swing band numbers for the family's "Fred and Ginger".

Moving reservations - still need to figure out when to deliver the PODS thingie, and when to pick it up.

Hairstyles - mine is easy. :) GW and BD have a trial run at the designated salon scheduled for early next month.

Groomsmen - number and names. [sweet voice]Oh, FSIL?[/sv]

Specifics on the floral arrangements - an appointment is scheduled for this, I believe.

Chuppah - never got called back from a nearby place that rents and sets these up. Will have to try again.

Care for the dog - she'll be alone for way too long that day. I have the name of a pet-sitting service, but it's not clear if they take one-shots or expect a long-term relationship.

Interpreter for the rehearsal - Maybe not really needed, but would be useful. There's some question about whether or not we should have a rehearsal at all, since the rabbi won't be there (and told us that his fellow rabbis don't usually do rehearsals, either). My opinion is yes, if only to see the layout and have some semblance of what the heck we're supposed to do, when we're supposed to do it, and where we're supposed to go to do it.

I'm sure there are other items on this list, but I don't have time to think about them at the moment.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

That was unusual. Somebody caught the gus on a non-gratuitous post. :D

GG, gsabc!

I say go for the rehearsal, even if you guys are just doing it on your own (without the rabbi) I think you'll feel better having run through it, less nerves on the actual day.
