Pray for Sammie the cat

#1 Post by kayrharris » Mon Jun 09, 2008 6:54 pm

He ran under the garage door as Missy's husband was leaving today. Somehow the sensor didn't pick it up and the door came down on Sammy.
No one knew it until a neighbor saw him. Sammy was rushed to the emergency vet. He has a broken back, damaged his bladder, couple of other things.....and I think they're going to put him to sleep.

He belongs to 4 loving children who are going to be devastated. They're all out of town but one...and he's crying. It's gonna be bad when they get home.

Thanks! Kay

Lots of love to Sammy and the family.

That's a sad story to see. :(

Those sensors are good, but obviously not perfect. I'm so sorry to hear of this.

Poor Sammie. He has my very biggest heart wishes for healing warmth to surround him and help him.

Poor kids. I know exactly how they feel. I wish I could hug them all.

This is terrible.

Poor Sammie and her family.

Happy thoughts to all of them.

Brave Sammie, How else could he warn the parents of the danger to the children posed by the defective safety shut off other than throwing himself in harms way.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Sammie didn't make it. He's had an eventful life with a couple of other things happening that other cats wouldn't have survived. This was just too much and he was in severe pain.

I told Eric and Sam this morning. Like me, they were truly saddened to hear about this. We're all praying. (((( ))))

My heart hurts for them all. I have lost many furry friends through the years as have all of the four-footer lovers of this bored. Sammie will be in good company. What a sad accident.

So sorry to hear about this Kay. Usually those darn things pop back up if a tiny stone is underneath them.

I know he's up there with our bunnies Foo Foo and Harvey and all the other sweet loving creatures who so enhance our lives.
